2017 Tony Award Winners - Oslo takes Best Play

15/06/2017

Broadway's biggest night got underway whilst we slept yesterday evening, with the 71st annual Tony Awards taking place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Kevin Spacey hosted the event where musical favourite Dear Evan Hansen was the night's biggest winner, picking up six awards from nine nominations. It was also a good night for Hello, Dolly! which won awards in four different categories, including Bette Midler for Best Actress.

Bartlett Sher's production of JT Rogers' play Oslo won the Best Play accolade, ahead of its transfer to London's West End transfer. The play will open at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 30 September 2017.
