Access Membership Scheme

1. What is the ATG Access Membership Scheme ?Show
  • The Access Membership Scheme allows our customers with access requirements and their companions to purchase discounted ticket(s).
  • It also aims to assist our access customers in booking tickets and helps us to understand their specific needs.
  • Customers wishing to take advantage of the Access Membership Scheme discounts are required to join our free Access Membership Scheme.
2. Who is eligible to join the Access Membership Scheme ?Show
Our Access Membership Scheme is open to anyone who is presented with a barrier to attending our venues, whether because of physical challenges or other disabilities. The eligibility criteria are kept under review and may be updated from time to time. Currently we accept any of the following proofs:
 
  • PIP Daily Living Component
  • DLA High or Middle Rate Care Component
  • Certificate of Visual Impairment
  • War Disablement Pension
  • AFIP (armed forces independence payment)
  • Direct Payments
  • Social Services Care Package
  • Continuing Healthcare Package
  • Dual Sensory Impairment
  • Blue Badge
  • Disabled Railcard
  • CEA Card
  • Access Card (Nimbus)
  • Any other International Disability Documentation
 
To prove eligibility you will need to provide one of the above forms of documentation.
 
3. Why has the Access Membership Scheme been set up ?Show
At ATG we recognise that there may be explicit or implicit barriers for disabled persons attending our venues, whether physical or financial. Consequently, we have introduced a new ticket pricing and membership scheme to ensure reasonable adjustments are provided for disabled guests who may need assistance whilst visiting us.
4. In which venues can I take advantage of the Access Membership Scheme ?Show
Our Access Membership Scheme applies to all ATG theatres in the UK.  For a full list of our venues please click here.

The online booking facility is currently being rolled out across our venues.  If your venue of choice does not currently support online Access booking, or if you have any doubts, please call our Access booking line on 0844 871 7677*, and a member of the team will be happy to help.  

All tickets are subject to availability, so we advise members to book early to guarantee the best selection of seat choice and ticket price.  Any day-release or rush tickets that are held aside at the Box Office will be made available to Access members where possible, with reasonable adjustment for the seats required.

5. What does the ATG Access Membership Scheme entitle me to ?Show

The ATG access membership scheme provides a number of benefits:

  • Ticket Discounts – Get 1/3 off full price tickets in your selected ticket price band. Access Membership Scheme discounted ticket(s) are subject to availability and may not be available for certain Events. Discounts are not available on Premium seats.
  • Obtain one free ticket for your personal assistant who is accompanying you to enable you to visit the theatre, by providing the assistance you require as a result of your disability.
  • Online booking facility. Currently being rolled out across ATG venues
  • If you opt in to receive emails and updates, we will send pre-visit emails and promotions tailored to your requirements, with extra information included for the benefit of those with accessibility considerations or special performances such as signed, captioned and audio described dates.
6. Are there any conditions to the Access Membership Scheme ?Show

7. Can I access multiple discounts at the same time ?Show
We can only offer one discount per ticket. We will always aim to make discounts available on our accessible seats online, and our Contact Centre and Box Offices will be able to book any advertised offer into the most appropriate seats.
 
8. Can I apply for the membership on behalf of someone else ?Show
Yes, it is possible to join the Access Membership Scheme on behalf of another person. You will be asked to provide details of their access requirements and present proof of eligibility at the Box Office when you collect the tickets
9. Can I be a member of the Access Membership Scheme and the Theatre Card membership ?Show
Yes, it is possible to be a member of both schemes, benefitting from exclusive priority booking, ticket and bar discounts and more, alongside the benefits of your Access Membership.

10. Does my Access membership apply if I book tickets through a third-party ticket agent ?Show
At present the Access Membership benefits are only available for tickets booked directly through ATG Tickets, either online, over the phone or in person at one of our Box Offices.
11. How do I apply to join the Access Membership Scheme ?Show
You can register to join the Access Membership Scheme via the following booking platforms:
 
  • ATG Tickets website – please visit our Access page and complete our online application form.
  • Box Office – please visit one of our Box Offices and ask the assistant to register your application.
  • Customer Contact Centre – please call 0844 871 7677* and ask a member of the team to register your application over the phone.

12. How long is the Access membership valid for ?Show
Access Memberhsips are valid for three years from the date of registration. After this point, we will ask to review your requirements and see proof of your eligibility again in order to renew your membership.
 
13. How long will it take for the benefits to be activated ?Show
The benefits will be activated immediately after registration. Online booking and the standardised pricing is currently being rolled out across our UK venues.

14. I am a group booker. Can I apply for a group membership ?Show
Yes. You are able to join to enable your group to take advantage of the Access Membership benefits. You will be asked to supply a risk assessment or another form of documentation that details the needs of your group

15. I do not want to join the Access Membership Scheme. Can I still take advantage of the benefits ?Show
The benefits of the scheme are available to Access members only. However, you don’t need to join our Access Membership Scheme for assistance in attending our performances.  If you require any assistance at all whilst visiting our venues, our friendly Customer Experience hosts will be more than happy to help you.
16. Is there a fee to join the Access Membership Scheme ?Show
No. We are pleased to offer the Access Membership Scheme free of charge.
17. Is there a membership card ?Show
No. The Access Membership will simply be linked to your ATG Tickets booking account. We plan to affiliate with the nationwide Access Card scheme, promoted by Nimbus.
 
18. What happens if my access requirements change or I can no longer make the performance ?Show
We will be happy to update your membership account with new information at any time, and to amend any existing bookings – contact us in the usual way by phone, email, social media or visiting a venue.

If the Access Member is not able to attend a performance for which discounted tickets have been booked, the tickets can be transferred for someone else to attend, in the same seats, at full price.
19. What happens to the personal documents and data that are used to process the application ?Show
You only need to show your documents to the Box Office once in order for your membership to be fully activated. No physical or electronic copies of documents will be held. Limited personal data which is required to administer the scheme is retained in order to anticipate access requirements and to make reasonable adjustment on future bookings.
